Hakeem Jeffery’s legal journey took a turbulent path, filled with unexpected twists and turns. His ordeal began with grave accusations of aggravated robbery and robbery stemming from an incident at Parham Supermarket on May 8, 2020.<\/p>

Initially, Jeffery vehemently denied involvement in the actual robbery but did admit to possessing a firearm.<\/p>\n

On that fateful day, Jeffery had rented a vehicle to assist a friend, who had left a firearm in the car to evade suspicion.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/div>\n

He held onto the weapon for several days before transferring it to another acquaintance on May 14, 2020, for safekeeping.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Just four days after his initial arrest, on May 19, Jeffery willingly led the police to the person in possession of the firearm, intending to surrender the weapon.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, it was found in a different location. Consequently, he found himself facing charges related to the robbery, which involved the use of a gun in an attempt to steal $2,200.<\/p>

In the High Court, Jeffery ultimately admitted solely to the firearm charges.<\/p>\n

The prosecution dropped the robbery charges, leading to concurrent sentences of two years and eight months for each charge, with an additional six months deducted for time served in custody.<\/p>
