REAL NEWS – The knife attack that took place at the St. John\u2019s Craft Market last week has resulted in a business owner being arrested and charged.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Reports say that 28-year-old Marc Antony Copland of Liberta is facing two indictable charges for injuring two individuals, at about 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 12.<\/p>\n

He is charged with wounding with intent to murder and wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Accordingly, Copland is expected to appear before a magistrate today, October 16.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Reportedly, the two victims were walking in the Craft Market when they were attacked by Copland with a sharp object that was wrapped in a cloth, which resulted in them sustaining multiple injuries to their faces.<\/p>\n

The pair was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre from which a doctor telephoned the Criminal Investigations Department and reported that they had arrived at the Emergency Room with several wounds.<\/p>

Copland reportedly told the Police that the two victims had followed him from Corn Alley to the Craft Market and had attempted to attack him in his business place, forcing him to defend himself with a knife he keeps there.<\/p>\n

The Police are now in possession of the alleged weapon, which Copland handed over.<\/p>

Initially, officers had arrested the businessman on suspicion of wounding and taken him to the St. John\u2019s Police Station.<\/p>
