REAL NEWS – Three cases of fraudulent conversion are being investigated, one in which the victim paid for a duty-free concession, but reportedly never received it, nor her money back.<\/p>

Reports say the Herberts victim made a complaint to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), alleging that she had given a man $500 in cash to obtain the concession on her behalf.<\/p>\n

However, up to the time of making the report last week, she had not received the tax waiver or her money back.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

This offence reportedly occurred sometime in August of this year.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Meanwhile, a Villa man also made a report to the CID that he had given US$6,500 to a Ffryes Estate man to purchase a vehicle for him online; however, he had not received it up to the time of making the report.<\/p>\n

The victim reportedly has made numerous efforts to get the vehicle or his money back, but to no avail.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

This offence reportedly occurred sometime between June and September 2023. In yet another incident, a Liberta resident complained to the Department that he had given a fellow villager $63,000 to purchase a truck for him online; and up to that time, he, too, had not received the vehicle.<\/p>\n

This victim also has been unsuccessful in his attempts to get back his money. Reportedly this offence occurred in December 2022.<\/p>
