REAL NEWS – Police Superintendent Elson Quammie, head of the Traffic Department, is advising motorists to exercise certain road courtesies, such as looking out for pedestrians, in order to avoid traffic collisions.<\/p>

Paying attention on the roads to avoid hitting both pedal and motorcyclists is also of utmost importance, Quammie says.<\/p>\n

This warning is particularly pertinent since, earlier this week, a motorcycle police officer, Robert Dyer, Jr., was buried, having lost his life in such a collision.<\/p>

To help prevent accidents, Quammie advises motorists to practice defensive driving \u2013 that is, driving not only for themselves, but doing so for others, as well, and trying to anticipate what the other driver is going to do.<\/p>
