REAL NEWS – The Police say they have no knowledge of a so-called \u201cwanted bulletin\u201d for the detention of a young woman, which is now in circulation.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

A picture of the female, with the claim that \u201cthe above is wanted by Dockyard Police for fraud and breaking\u201d is making the rounds on social-media platforms.<\/p>\n

The bulletin also asks persons to apprehend the young woman if she is seen.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

This request is what raised concerns about the legitimacy of the bulletin, as, normally, the Police will caution residents against approaching anyone who is wanted in connection with a crime.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Additionally, wanted bulletins are rarely issued for offences of fraud and break-ins.<\/p>\n

Stratcom was contacted about the bulletin, and Inspector Frankie Thomas said he does not know who the woman is; nor is he aware of such a bulletin being issued by his office or by the commissioner of police.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

He confirms that no officer from his department could have put out that notice since that is not how the department operates.<\/p>\n

And since the bulletin did not come from the Police, Thomas says it is not recognized.<\/p>

The police inspector says information might later surface that the so-called bulletin is a case of maliciousness.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Another source says that the publication of false information about an individual, with the intent to ruin their reputation, could also be deemed a cyber crime.<\/p>\n
