In the lead-up to the upcoming by-elections, Kelvin Shugy Simon, the United Progressive Party’s candidate, once again criticized the ruling Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP).<\/p>

Simon argued that Marshall’s actions were driven by a desire to secure her pension, which requires approximately 11 years of service, two government terms, and an additional year. He highlighted a stark income disparity between opposition MPs and his previous occupations as a barber and guidance counselor, defending his choice to serve at a lower salary.<\/p>
