REAL NEWS: Jamale Pringle, the political leader of the United Progressive Party\u2028(UPP), is condemning the Antigua Labour Party\u2019s win-at-any-cost\u2028political tactics, now said to be in full swing ahead of the St. Mary\u2019s\u2028South by-election.<\/p>

According to reports from the constituency, the Labour Party has\u2028been deploying cash, bicycles, fans, and other gifts in order to secure\u2028the seat.<\/p>\n

Quite a bit of infrastructural work is being done in the constituency,\u2028as well. This has been described as the party using public resources\u2028to win the by-election and increase its one-seat majority in the\u2028Lower House.<\/p>

Pringle claims the Labour Party has gone as far as paving private\u2028properties in the constituency with the aim of receiving votes from\u2028that household.\u2028\u00a0\u2028He notes that the Labour Party cannot win an election fairly, and\u2028says the time has come to do away with this type of politics.<\/p>

However, like his colleague, Kelvin \u201cShugy\u201d Simon, the UPP\u2028candidate for St. Mary\u2019s South, Pringle is confident that the\u2028constituents will not be fooled by this trickery, since they are\u2028intelligent people.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, what could not be achieved during the Labour Party\u2019s\u2028first two terms in office will now be undertaken. Government-\u2028sponsored houses reportedly will be made available to St. Mary\u2019s\u2028South constituents ahead of the upcoming polls.\u2028\u00a0\u2028Minister of Housing Maria Browne reportedly has said that, by next\u2028week,\u00a0the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CHAPA) will be\u2028handing over several\u00a0houses\u00a0to new homeowners in the Bolans\u2028development.<\/p>
