Beautiful People<\/strong> is a Mas Troupe that was launched by local Fashion Icon Calvin S<\/strong> and several other likeminded individuals in 2011 and is a band that has become a household name for Carnival in Antigua & Barbuda. Over the past years, it has given our patrons some of the most exciting and memorable experiences on the route for not only Carnival Monday and Tuesday but also for T-shirt Mas.<\/p>\n

After a late start this year 2018 we launched Mas in June, a concept titled Vogue (Fashion Forward Costumes)<\/strong>.\u00a0 The feedback was very encouraging and so we pushed on with the setting up of our Home\/Mas camp on Redcliffe Street displaying of the prototypes and started registration.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

It\u2019s our band\u2019s opinion that in order to make a worthwhile impact\/presence on the streets of St John\u2019s, we must have a certain quota. We pride ourselves in delivering the most beautifully crafted costumes with a difference, coupled with what we describe as our \u201cBeautiful Experience\u201d<\/strong> that makes us stand out in the crowd.<\/p>

Due to unforeseen circumstances we have decided to respectfully withdraw from the 2018 Mas competition<\/strong>.\u00a0 We are extremely saddened by this situation at hand, and after giving it lots of thought we were left with no choice.<\/p>\n

There are a number of contributing factors which we will not or cannot put into perspective at this time. It is our intention to take the time to reflect and return in 2019 <\/strong>with renewed strength, energy and creative dynamics which we hope our patrons will embrace wholeheartedly.<\/p>

We apologies to our loyal supporters\/revelers who have played with us come sun or rain, as well as our friends and supporters who line the streets of St John\u2019s, just to get a glimpse of our band or to have a photo op with one of our out of the box revelers.\u00a0 We truly appreciate you and do not wish to disappoint you. We say Thank You!! To those who have remained faithful to Beautiful People<\/strong> from its inception and promise you a concept so revolutionary in 2019<\/strong> that we are confident will be a delight for all.<\/p>\n
