Close to three hundred Barbudan families will benefit from another government-facilitated voucher programme which begins on Friday.<\/p>

The National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) has received 50 thousand Canadian dollars from the Canadian High Commission in Barbados, which will be distributed to families consisting of single-parents, the elderly, unemployed individuals and persons with special needs.<\/p>\n

Vouchers will be given in denominations of two hundred, three hundred and five hundred dollars and will expire on August 31.<\/p>

Barbudan residents will be able to purchase food and other supplies from two supermarkets in Antigua and one in Barbuda. However, purchases on alcohol and cigarettes are not allowed.<\/p>
