The sixth homicide for 2023 is being investigated by the Police, as a\u2028search for the perpetrators continues.\u2028\u00a0\u2028This latest killing involves Lance \u201cLenny\u201d Williams, 37, of Parham,\u2028and follows three weeks of fatal shootings and a stabbing.<\/p>

According to reports, Williams was shot in the vicinity of the Parham\u2028Primary School while he was on the nearby playing field.\u2028\u00a0\u2028It is alleged that, at about 10 p.m. on Saturday night, September 2,\u2028a motorcar drove onto the said field. One of the occupants\u2028reportedly alighted from the vehicle and opened fire, hitting\u2028Williams multiple times, and then the vehicle is said to have sped off.<\/p>\n

Williams was rushed to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he\u2028underwent emergency surgery. However, he succumbed to his\u2028injuries shortly before 6 a.m. on Sunday morning.<\/p>

Two years ago, the Police had charged Williams with attempted\u2028murder after a wounding incident that took place September 17,\u20282021.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

He had been accused of wounding Tyrone Monroe, 41 \u2013 another\u2028Parham resident \u2013 with a sharp object during an altercation in that\u2028town.<\/p>\n

Williams had fled the scene after the incident, but had surrendered\u2028at the Parham Police Station a few days later, accompanied by his\u2028attorney.<\/p>

Meanwhile, members of the community and Williams\u2019 family\u2028reportedly are shocked by his killing and are calling for answers.\u2028However, the circumstances that led to his death are not clear at this\u2028time.<\/p>\n

Of the six homicides that have taken place this year, only one\u2028accused has been arrested: Kareem Simon, 42, of Green Bay.<\/p>

Simon fatally stabbed 66-year-old Dennis Edwards of Bolans during\u2028an altercation on Monday night, August 21, on Lower All Saints\u2028Road. He is now on remand at His Majesty\u2019s Prison and will return to\u2028court for committal proceedings on November 29.<\/p>
