Previous polls conducted by the Party showed that constituents are\u2028displeased with the Antigua Labour Party and its leader, Prime\u2028Minister Gaston Browne.<\/p>\n

They were also not pleased with the performance of Samantha\u2028Marshall, the parliamentary representative of nine years, who\u2028resigned as the candidate, paving the way for UPP defector Dwayne\u2028George to contest the upcoming poll for the Labour Party.<\/p>

However, according to the most recent data, the switch to George\u2028has not improved the Labour Party\u2019s favorability, says UPP Public\u2028Relations Officer Damani Tabor.<\/p>

Tabor says that Simon beat George in likeability and he came out\u2028ahead as the person who can be trusted in administering the\u2028concerns of the constituency.<\/p>\n

He says the data favourable to Simon reflect the feelings of a wide\u2028cross-section, including men, the youth and, especially, women\u2028voters.<\/p>

Tabor says he believes the people are gravitating to Simon and love\u2028him because of his proven track record in the constituency \u2013 even\u2028before he became an elected member of parliament.<\/p>\n

Otherwise, the UPP officer says the statistics related to the water\u2028situation, healthcare, and the state of the economy remain\u2028unchanged from when Marshall was the Labour Party candidate.<\/p>
