REAL NEWS –\u00a0 Some employees of the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) are said to be anxious about receiving their pay cheques at the end of this week since the agency\u2019s computer system has been hacked.<\/p>

Sources say the billing department, specifically, has been thrown into disarray, with customers being unable to make their online payments due to the cyber-attack on the system.<\/p>

If payments cannot be received, a staff member says, he fears the Authority might not be in the financial position to meet this week\u2019s payroll.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Meanwhile, one customer tells our Newsroom that he understands the Authority\u2019s system was infiltrated by hackers after certain work was outsourced to an overseas company.<\/p>\n

However, REAL News was unable to confirm this allegation up to press time, but it will continue to investigate and report on this story.<\/p>
