Twenty-nine teams from the Caribbean Football\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>Union (CFU) will be in the hunt for top honors when the CFU 2018 Boys\u2019\u00a0U14 Challenge Series<\/em>\u00a0kicks off this weekend for a month-long youth football festival across the Caribbean.<\/p>

The CFU Boys\u2019 U14 Challenge Series will be played across seven (7) venues, namely Warner Park Sporting Complex in St. Kitts-Nevis<\/b><\/strong>; Estadio Pan Americano de San Cristobal in the Dominican Republic<\/b><\/strong>; Ergilio Hato Stadium in\u00a0Curacao<\/b><\/strong>; Ed Bush Playing Field in the\u00a0Cayman Islands<\/b><\/strong>; Stade Pierre Aliker in\u00a0Martinique<\/b><\/strong>; UWI JFF Captain Horace Burrell Center of Excellence\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>and the Anthony Spaulding Sporting Complex<\/em> in Jamaica<\/b><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

CFU President Randolph Harris says the, \u201cBoys\u2019 U14\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>Challenge Series will give much\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>needed competition and provide the opportunity for Caribbean Member Associations to assess their youth development programmes, as well as referee development programmes ahead of future international tournaments.”<\/p>

\u201cFollowing on the highly successful CFU Women\u2019s Challenge competition in April, this series will also be a major fillip to future, strategic development initiatives moving forward. We are confident that this Boys\u2019 U14 Challenge Series competition will redound to the benefit of the participants and football development across the region,\u201d Harris said.<\/p>

The CFU Boys\u2019 U14 Challenge Series will be played over a period from August 4 – 26, 2018. Commemorative awards will be presented to the respective Participants.<\/p>
