Relatives of three Cameroonian migrants who died in March during an illegal boat journey from Antigua to the USVI are alleging their bodies were cremated without consent.<\/p>

These migrants were part of a larger group that arrived in Antigua from Nigeria.<\/p>\n

The cremations took place in St Kitts in June after the boat capsized.<\/p>

Families were unaware of the cremation until Deputy Commissioner of Police Cromwell Henry informed them afterward due to a communication breakdown.<\/p>

The police retain the ashes but refuse to cover costs for sending them to Cameroon. The investigation is now with Antiguan and Barbudan authorities.<\/p>\n
