NY Post – A security guard was savagely beaten to death by a mob of seven to 11 men outside the Hollywood nightclub he was working at and left to die on the sidewalk.<\/span>Daniel Sandifer, 32, was working his security guard shift at the Dragonfly Hollywood nightclub at 2 a.m.<\/span><\/p>

Sunday when a group of men approached him in a heated confrontation, according to ABC7.<\/span><\/p>\n

The pack of suspects pounced on the defenseless Sandifer, who fell to the ground during the exchange.<\/span><\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The LAPD did not indicate a motive for the disturbing attack which left Sandifer unconscious and unable to breathe.<\/span><\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

They estimate the group\u2019s size to be between 7 and 11 people in their 20s.<\/span><\/p>\n

The suspects fled the area on foot and have yet to be captured, but investigators believe there were plenty of witnesses to the attack, as the club was nearing its closing time.<\/span><\/p>

Sandifer, a father of two from Compton, Calif., was rushed to a local hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sandifer\u2019s ex-wife Brittney Jones had two daughters with the security guard and said she was saddened by the news. Brittney Jones<\/span><\/p>

Sandifer\u2019s ex-wife, Brittany Jones, said she was heartbroken after learning her children\u2019s father was killed while he was working.<\/span><\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\u201cThis saddens me for real,\u201d Jones <\/span>told KCAL News. <\/span><\/a>\u201cAs the mother of his kids, this hurts in so many ways, y\u2019all have no clue.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She even pleaded for witnesses to Sandifer\u2019s horrifying attack to come forward and help with the ongoing investigation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Los Angeles Police did not indicate a motive for the disturbing attack which left Sandifer unconscious and unable to breathe. KCAL<\/span> The suspects fled the area on foot and have yet to be captured, but investigators believe there were plenty of witnesses to the attack, as the club was nearing its closing time. KTLA<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf anyone has any information, I ask that you give that information and try to get justice for Daniel,\u201d Jones added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sandifer worked at the nightclub while he served as his ailing grandmother\u2019s primary caregiver, <\/span>according to the LA Times.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Evette Sandifer told the outlet her cousin was a \u201chardworking man who dedicated his time to his grandmother, who is in hospice care.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Sandifer worked at the nightclub while he served as his ailing grandmother\u2019s primary caregiver, according to the LA Times. KTLA<\/span><\/p>\n

The Dragonfly Hollywood, located a mile south of Sunset Boulevard, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, was hosting Detroit-born rap star, Tee Grizzley, as a part of the club\u2019s \u201cSignature Saturdays.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The nightclub took to social media to say it will remain closed following Sandifer\u2019s death.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs we begin to process and mourn the loss of our colleague, Dragonfly will be closed. Our hearts are with his family at this time,\u201d the Instagram post read.<\/span><\/p>\n
