The Wadadli Beer Calypso Monarch Competition<\/i><\/em>\u00a0semifinals is tonight and calypso committee chairman Dion Simmons says that the artists will, \u201ceither sink or swim.\u201d<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\u201cIf they don\u2019t move on to the next round, they will have no one to blame but themselves. What you put in is what you get out. Those who put in the hard work and the time will see good results.”<\/p>\n

The competition begins promptly at 7 pm this evening and Simmons said that everything is in place for the artists to wow the judges and the crowd at the Barrymore Hotel (Tent City).<\/p>

\u201cRehearsals have been going well. The artists had their final run on Thursday afternoon and everything is in order from the committee\u2019s end of things.\u201d<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Nine finalists will be chosen from 20 artists this evening to try to dethrone the reigning King Zacari on Friday, 3 August in Carnival City (ARG).<\/p>\n

Tonight\u2019s running order will be as follows:<\/p>
