REVELLING IN GREATNESS (OFFICIAL CARNIVAL SPEECH)<\/strong><\/p>

My dear inhabitants:
\nCitizens and residents
\nOf the unitary state of Antibuda,
\nEven those stuck here awaiting visas to Canada,
\nAs you once more ditch our national holiness
\nTo embrace our cultural greatness;
\nAs you prepare to revel,
\nMerrily travel
\nThe route to sweet misbehaving,
\nBe mindful that Wednesday morning
\nYou resume your national grinding
\nChristian duties and normal whining<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

As you prepare to celebrate bacchanal
\nThe essence of our carnival,
\nWhich was initially
\nOur emancipation jubilee
\nIt would be remiss of me to not mention
\nThe great diversion\u2014
\nThe disregard of history\u2014
\nThe three-sixty degree
\nTurning back of the hands of the clock,
\nThe catwalk back to the auction block:
\nThe parade of Nubian flesh
\nAdorned with only sequins and mesh<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

However, as you get set to parade your great assets
\nStrut your ample volumes without corsets,
\nBare as you dare
\nIn your Monday and Tuesday wear,
\nI must say I\u2019m dazzled by the creative options
\nThe range in bikini bottoms.
\nMoreover, every alternative for topless,
\nI must confess,
\nSeems artistically scintillating
\nQuite titillating,
\nSuch anatomically perfect fits…
\nNice tits!<\/p>\n

Culture lovers and practitioners<\/p>\n

Johnny-come-latelies and agitators<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

We have come a long way<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Far from the tribulations of yesterday<\/p>\n

Today, we stand tall on strong shoulders,<\/p>\n

We enjoy the labour of our selfless elders<\/p>\n

Who fought hard against injustice<\/p>\n

House niggers and prejudice<\/p>\n

So let us celebrate their bravery<\/p>\n

Undaunted spirit and tenacity<\/p>\n

In magnificent splendour<\/p>\n

And unrestrained grandeur<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nevertheless, I admonish you<\/p>\n

To be true
\nTo yourself, your crew
\nBe astute in whatever you do
\nOn the streets while you\u2019re jamming
\nEnjoy clean fun, no ‘samming’
\nFor we\u2019ve had enough worries
\nWith rogue cops and sad stories.<\/p>\n

Look out for each other<\/p>\n

And be your brother’s keeper.<\/p>\n

Make this carnival season
\nCrime-free\u2014for the very reason
\nOur lone jail is a real prison.<\/p>\n
