As of 500 PM AST (2100 UTC), the center of the depression was located near latitude 11.5 North and longitude 44.0 West, approximately 1,190 miles (1,920 km) east of the Lesser Antilles.<\/p>\n

It is currently moving west-northwest at a speed of 14 mph (22 km\/h), and this general motion with a slight increase in forward speed is expected in the coming days.<\/p>

No coastal watches or warnings are in effect at this time for the developing system.<\/p>\n

Maximum sustained winds for the depression are around 35 mph (55 km\/h) with higher gusts.<\/p>\n

Some strengthening is anticipated within the next 48 hours, and the system is likely to attain tropical storm status tonight or early Friday.<\/p>\n

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).<\/p>\n

While the depression poses no immediate threat to coastal areas, it is important to stay informed about any updates or changes in the weather conditions.<\/p>\n
