During the National Assembly on June 20, Dr. Hanley introduced the Rastafari Rights Recognition Bill, 2023, as a tangible step towards rectifying the injustices faced by Rastafarians.<\/p>\n

He emphasized the government’s commitment to providing equal opportunities for Rastafarians in the emerging medicinal cannabis and cannabis tourism industries while ensuring their freedom to practice their religion without any restrictions.<\/p>

Dr. Hanley also highlighted the significance of June 20, 2023, as a historic day in the Rastafari struggle, as their constitutional rights will be formally recognized and protected by law.<\/p>
