After spending three months in jail for perjury, a man changed his plea today and confessed to stealing two drinks from a popular supermarket.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The incident occurred on March 13 when Teshawn Gordon was captured on surveillance cameras taking two bottles of Mandingo Tonic Wine valued at $5.50 each from a shelf at Perry Bay Supermarket.<\/p>\n

Security detained him after he left the premises without paying and alerted the police. Initially, when Gordon was brought before the court almost three months ago on charges of larceny, he pleaded not guilty.<\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n

However, the magistrate remanded him for lying to the court, as his actions were clearly captured on camera.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Today was scheduled to be the start of the trial at St. John’s Magistrates’ Court, but the man opted to admit to the crime instead.<\/p>\n

Due to his imprisonment since March, Gordon was released today, having served sufficient time for his offenses.<\/p>
