This summer, DoGA will be focusing on investing in our nation\u2019s youth via the Men\u00a0 Engage Summer Institute (MES-I).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

T<\/span>he MES-I Summer Camp, which is a one-week interactive summer camp, is designed to explore the <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>male perspective of issues related to Gender and Masculinity, <\/span>Conflict Resolution, Emergency\u00a0 Disaster Preparedness, Health & Wellness, Life Skills, Substance Abuse, Sports and much more.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

DoGA believes that there is much to be gained by giving young boys an opportunity to interact with\u00a0 and learn from positive and relatable male role models, ultimately providing them with tools and\u00a0 knowledge for the betterment of themselves, and in turn, society.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

\u201cThe Men Engage Summer Institute will be taking place at a critical time, as the nation grapples with <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>an increase in delinquency and deviant behaviour amongst youth, particularly young men.\u201d, says <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Executive Director of the Directorate of Gender Affairs, Mr. Jamie Saunders. <\/span><\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Saunders also adds that <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u201cMESI will aim to reinforce positive values and principles amongst participants and provide them a <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>safe space to explore issues and challenges that are relevant to them.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The MES-I Summer Camp, which will host boys between the ages of 11-15, will be held at the T.N.\u00a0 Kirnon Primary School and will run from July 10<\/span>th<\/span>\u2013 14<\/span>th<\/span>, 2023 from 9AM \u2013 3PM.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Interested individuals can register in person by visiting our office on Old Parham Road, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:30AM \u2013 12:30PM. Registration can also be completed by visiting our\u00a0 website: genderaffairs.gov.ag\/mesi or via our social media platforms.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Please be advised that the deadline for registration is Tuesday 20th June at 12:30pm.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
