Egbert Merril Thwaites, a renowned Antiguan photographer, has passed away, leaving behind a rich legacy.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

His studio on All Saints Road and DeSouza Roads captured treasured moments for families, and his black and white portraits from the 60s and 70s are still cherished today.<\/p>\n

Thwaites was also known for his small shop next to the studio, where he sold delicious ice cream cones to the Ottos community and beyond.<\/p>

The area became known as Thwaites Corner due to the positive impact he had on the community.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

At the age of 99 and a half, Mr. Thwaites is survived by his life partner, Eunice Rawlins, and his children, including prominent Urologist Dr. Dwayne ‘Baba’ Thwaites.<\/p>\n
