Today, the annual Grade 6 National Assessment examinations begin in primary schools throughout Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Ineta Francis, the Education Officer for Measurement and Evaluation, expressed full readiness for the exams, stating, “We are one hundred percent ready to administer the exams starting today.”<\/p>\n

The examination process is extensive and begins early in the year, commencing in January and concluding by the end of June or early July when the results are made public.<\/p>

\"\"<\/div>\n

Francis emphasized the meticulous preparation required to ensure a successful two-day exam period.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

This year, a total of 1,330 students will be writing the exams, comprising 744 from government primary schools, 585 from private primary schools, and one homeschooled student. The number of participants is 36 fewer than the previous year.<\/p>\n

Students have been diligently preparing for the exams since Grade 6, with their School-Based Assessment projects already submitted to their teachers in the schools.<\/p>

The written exams commence today, Wednesday, June 7, and continue into Thursday.<\/p>\n

Language Arts 1 & 2, followed by Science, are the subjects scheduled for today, while Mathematics papers are slated for Thursday.<\/p>

The Ministry of Education extends its best wishes to all students undertaking the Grade 6 National Assessment.<\/p>
