Bandits have managed to steal more than $1 million worth of corned beef and cheese from an Arima warehouse over a span of five months.<\/p>

The theft was reported by an employee of Arima Discount Mart Warehouse located on Carapo Main Road in Carapo.<\/p>\n

Upon conducting an inventory and physical check of the stock, the employee discovered a significant discrepancy between the records.<\/p>

According to the police, a total of 1,042 cases of New Zealand cheese, valued at $1,073,260, and 1,938 cases of Rainbow corned beef, worth $695,742, were reported missing.<\/p>

Following conversations with the employees, the police obtained useful information that led them to believe an arrest was imminent.<\/p>\n

This incident comes after a similar theft in November of the previous year when bandits stole over $1 million worth of cheese from a warehouse in El Socorro.<\/p>

The previous theft involved 300 cases of 20kg bulk cheddar cheese, valued at $360,000, and 626 cases of cheese, worth $751,200.<\/p>\n

The employee of Hand Arnold Ltd in El Socorro reported to the San Juan police that CCTV footage captured the bandits loading cases of cheese onto a five-tonne truck.<\/p>

Subsequent investigations revealed that the theft occurred over a period of time, and the recording of the five-tonne truck was the most recent evidence obtained.<\/p>
