A young man, 18 years old, has been taken into custody in connection with the country’s first murder of the year.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Late on Monday evening, authorities detained the Bethesda resident for further questioning as they pursued leads regarding an armed robbery that resulted in the death of Roudi Shmaly, aged 25.<\/p>\n

The tragic incident occurred at 1 pm on DeSouza Road at the Pick ‘N’ Mix Mart. During the robbery, the assailant entered the store and held the cashier at gunpoint, stealing an undisclosed amount of money. Tragically, when Shmaly entered the nearby Chicken Hub and proceeded into the superette, he was fatally shot by the perpetrator.<\/p>

As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the case, and investigations are still ongoing.<\/p>
