Maitlyn Walrich, 23, said she was \u201crelieved\u201d to learn her boyfriend had\u00a0allegedly cheated<\/a>\u00a0on her with a man.<\/p>

\u201cMy initial reaction to finding out he cheated was relief \u2014 I felt like I was going crazy suspecting he was hiding something,\u201d Walrich, who goes by Mae,\u00a0told Jam Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She said she suspected her then-boyfriend for months, but as much as Walrich tried to ignore her gut instinct, her doubts crept into her dreams.<\/p>

\u201cWhen I had finally decided to trust him and let go of my suspicions, I asked him one last time if he had ever cheated on me, and he said, \u2018no\u2019 \u2014 but a few hours later, he sent me a long message confessing,\u201d said Walrich, who didn\u2019t identify her ex by name.<\/p>

\u201cThe guilt began to eat him,\u201d she continued. \u201cI felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders, and I thanked him for finally being honest with me.\u201d<\/p>\n
