REAL NEWS: A 32-year-old woman has been remanded to His Majesty\u2019s Prison after being charged with a second drug offence within the space of two weeks. \u00a0She may acquire bail in the High Court, however.<\/p>

Kimmesha Latesha Hutchinson of Old Parham Road appeared before Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh in the St. John\u2019s Magistrates\u2019 Court on Monday, May 8, on a charge of possession of 80 pounds of marijuana.<\/p>\n

The Police also arrested and charged Hutchinson with possession of the illegal drug with intent to transfer; being concerned in the supplying of cannabis; importation of cannabis; and\u00a0drug trafficking.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

These offences reportedly occurred on April 26 at the Deep Water Harbour.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Allegations are that Hutchinson was in the United States recently, and she is believed to have shipped the barrel, which was in her name. When the woman went to clear it, the illegal drug was discovered among its contents.<\/p>\n

As a result of that discovery, the Police later obtained a search warrant and went to her house, on April 27, to execute it; at that time, a quantity of cocaine was found.<\/p>

She was arrested and charged for that offence and taken before the court about two weeks ago. At the time she was granted bail on that charge with a return date of June for her trial.<\/p>\n

Reportedly the magistrate had queried why both matters were not brought to court on the same day since they were found about 24 hours apart.<\/p>
