Officers on the Carnival Spirit observed the boat with about two dozen individuals stranded as the vessel was moving toward Aruba, sailing between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.<\/p>

The two dozen seamen were brought onto the vessel and taken to safety, the statement mentioned. The medical personnel found them to be in a stable state.<\/p>\n

On rescuing the stranded sailors, the vessel\u2019s officers contacted the Coast Guard from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic to see if a transfer could be facilitated.<\/p>

At around 3 p.m., a Coast Guard cutter reached to execute the transfer close to La Romana in the Dominican Republic, and Carnival Spirit resumed the voyage, the statement highlighted.<\/p>
