Youth co-author launches Global Book to inspire change\u201d<\/p>

\u201cWe Have a Dream: 201 Countries, 201 Dreams\u201d is a book co-authored by 201 young people from 201 countries throughout the world. The youth-led initiative which started in 2020, as a brainchild of Japanese Youth activist- Taichi Ichikawa, set out to compile stories that would highlight the great work youths are doing globally to make lasting positive impacts on their communities and the world at large.<\/p>\n

Local co-author Michael Joseph whose story is entitled, \u201cYoung Generation as Hope for Tomorrow\u201d, says that he chose to focus his story from the perspective of young people having to shoulder the responsibility of remedying the many global challenges the world currently faces. Joseph highlighted that when you look at the world and see so many growing challenges, it is easy to be pessimistic about the future, however, he encourages young people to be optimistic because the change lives within them.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Joseph said he chose to launch the book, on the heels of Alma Mater Day 2023 after being emotionally motivated by<\/a> a discussion he had with the principal of his Alma Mater High School- the Ottos Comprehensive Secondary. According to Joseph, \u201cThe secondary school currently host a breakfast program that assists many of the students with breakfast in the mornings and I was inspired by what I saw and the impact it was making. We take for granted that many children still go to school without a proper breakfast and if the school is helping to fill that gap then I want to help them to do this.\u201d<\/p>

The co-author, who is currently selling the books at Best of Books and Dockyard Pharmacy Plus for $135.00 per copy, has committed to donating the entire proceeds of the sales to the Ottos Comprehensive School program for their upcoming school year.<\/p>\n

Joseph handed over signed copies of his book to Their Excellencies Sir Rodney Williams & Lady Sandra Williams, Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne, Deputy Director of the Public Library and Principal of the Ottos Comprehensive School.<\/p>

In closing, Joseph highlighted that he hopes that people will purchase the book and be inspired by the stories inside- understanding that so long as they can dream they can change the world.<\/p>\n
