Dear Editor,<\/p>

As we all know the elections have pasted and the people have spoken so this is not a political letter.<\/p>\n

I am a business owner who frequently does business with the various Ministries of government on a daily and I have one major concern which I think the public needs to be aware of.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Aside from the attitude of front desk workers of the civil servants which I can understand to an extent, when you eventually get past that hurdle most times its easy to get your business done once you reach the Minister responsible for said Ministry.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Now before the elections for the most part I did not have an issue doing business with the Ministry of Legal Affairs until after the recent elections.<\/p>\n

I have noticed a significant delay in getting my paperwork\u2019s signed which can only be done by the Minister AG Honourable Steadroy \u201cCutie\u201d Benjamin.<\/p>

Ever since the elections when you go up to the said Ministry you either get the Minister is not here and they don\u2019t know when he is coming in or you can leave your documents and we will call you when the Minister comes to collect the signed document from his secretary.<\/p>\n

It took me 3 weeks recently to collect documents from said ministry that I delivered over a month ago and because of said delay in collecting documents I have incurred penalties from the banks and IRD through no fault of my own.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

I would like to ask questions on the minds of the public.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Aren\u2019t all the Ministers of government paid by the taxpayers of the country to run the affairs of our country?<\/p>\n

Is the AG physically fit to carry out task and deal with peoples affairs at the Ministry?<\/p>\n

Does the Minister give directives from him home and get briefed on the phone from his home so he does not need to come into office?<\/p>\n

Does the Ministers secretary or P.S brief him on the amount to people there to see him and he decides to have people at his office waiting on him for hours?<\/p>\n

Is the AG treating the public like dirt because he does not care and will not be running in the next general election?<\/p>\n

When I go to do business with other government Ministries 95% of the time if they tell me come such and such a date to deliver my documents and have the Minister sign them the Minister is there and I get them back the same day.<\/p>\n

Sadly its seems like the Minster of\u00a0\u00a0Ministry of Legal Affairs hardly seems to be in office.<\/p>\n

If the AG runs his Ministry from his home and hardly is in office that should deem him unfit for office and maybe he should resign and let someone else take the mantle.<\/p>\n
