Farmers continue to be the victims of praedial larceny, with a Jennings farmer complaining that several of his \u201cjelly\u201d plants were stolen by unknown persons.<\/p>

Reports say the perpetrators stole 14 of the young coconut trees, which are valued at $50 each.<\/p>\n

Further reports say the man left his farm at about 6 p.m. on Monday, March 20. \u00a0On his return, at 6:30 a.m. the following day, he discovered that his plants had been taken<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Reportedly, the perpetrator(s) went to the western side of the man\u2019s farm and used a hand implement to dig the plants out of the earth.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The police reportedly conducted a search of the surrounding area for the stolen plants, but without success.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a Bendals man reported to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) that an unknown person had stolen his horse, valued at $3,000.<\/p>

Reports say the animal was secured in an area of the village, and the perpetrator used an implement to cut the black nylon rope that was used to tie the horse to a house.<\/p>\n

The animal is said to be chestnut brown in colour with a white spot in the face and white around both hind feet.<\/p>
