The former Executive Secretary of the Board of Education will know on May 25, 2017 whether the 18 charges filed against her last year are heading to the High Court.<\/p>

Magistrate Conliff Clarke heard arguments yesterday on whether there is sufficient evidence for a trial.<\/p>\n

Gisele Isaac is charged with corruption, fraudulent conversion and larceny related to salary increases she received at the board between 2009-2014.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The prosecution is arguing that Isaac knew the increases were illegal and used persuasion to convince the board to grant them.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Isaac who is being represented by Justin Simon QC who argued yesterday that the board is authorized to grant the increases.<\/p>\n

He said matters such as payment is a matter for the board and not cabinet.<\/p>

The former Executive Secretary of the Board of Education views the charges as politically motivated and believes she will be vindicated in the end.<\/p>\n
