55 Pounds of Cannabis Seized at Ports of Entry<\/p>

The Police Narcotics and Customs Departments seized a total of 55 pounds cannabis at the Deep Water Harbour and the V.C Bird International on Wednesday 15 March.<\/p>\n

Both agencies conducted two separate joint drug operations at the Deep Water Harbour and found a total of 35 pounds of cannabis in two separate shipments. Both seizures are estimated to value a combine $230,000.<\/p>

A similar operation was carried out at the airport and another 20 pounds with a street value of $120,000 was also discovered.<\/p>

The controlled substances were take to the police station as further investgations continue. Two men are currently assisting with the investigations.<\/p>\n
