I\u2019m hearing that Teachers can do no wrong\u2026. and its quite fine when a child comes home all black and blue from a \u201d discipline\u201d that he received from a teacher or a school principal?<\/p>\n

The first line of restraint begins with the teacher\u2026no matter how angry you are or the behavior of the child.<\/p>

I had a Son was slapped so hard by a primary school teacher and then was told \u201cyou can bring you pupa now\u201d.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

I had doubt but I knew my son\u2026his nickname by the elders in the village was \u201cMr. Manners\u201d speak volumes.<\/p>\n

This was a nine year old child\u2026a model student\u2026in his 5 years in primary school never falls below 2nd in class which happened once\u2026all other times he came 1st\u2026even score a 100% for maths in common entrance exams.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Where is my son now.leave that there\u2026you can ask in your reply.<\/p>\n

I asked to slapped me as hard as the teacher slapped him and with tears he couldn\u2019t\u2026 seeing my son\u2019s face all blued and hearing the echo \u201cyou can bring you pupa now\u201d in my anger I went over at the school to confront the principal and the teacher\u2026and say \u201d he pupa ya\u201d.<\/p>

The teacher apologized and was humbled in response trying to justify the she didn\u2019t slap him in that manner.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

If her response was different or unapologetic God knows what could have happened that day.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs soft answer turns away wrathful response\u201d \u2026..I encourage discipline in school..even corpal punishment but it must be done with reason and love.<\/p>\n

I went school in the 70\u2019s where the tamarind rod of all sizes was the order of the day and at extreme you have to dropped your pants to receive your lashes.<\/p>\n

In my years in secondary school only once I witnessed a parent came to school and it wasn\u2019t pretty.<\/p>\n

So Audley\u2026its not the norm where parents behave in such a manner \u2026and no excuse for their when it happens and should be dealt with\u2026.in the same vein the teacher or principal that extremely beat or abuse a child not be forgiven either and should not be in our school system\u2026<\/p>\n

I would like to observe your reaction if your child comes home with black and blue eyes by the hands of a teacher\u2026<\/p>\n
