The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority will celebrate Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s culture through the artwork of students across the twin-islands during Antigua and Barbuda Art Week taking place from April 16 \u2013 April 22, 2023.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Students in Antigua and Barbuda between the ages of 5 \u2013 17, are being encouraged to
\nparticipate in the Antigua and Barbuda Art Week Schools\u2019 Art Competition being held under
\nthe theme \u2018Culture in Colour\u2019.<\/p>\n

Hosted by the Tourism Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the
\nMinistry of Education, the Art Week competition motivates students to take inspiration from
\nAntigua and Barbuda\u2019s culture when creating art.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/div>\n

\u201cAntigua and Barbuda has such a rich culture and we are excited to see where our students
\nwill take their inspiration from\u201d, said Colin C. James, CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda
\nTourism Authority.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Winning entries in the Antigua and Barbuda Art Week Schools\u2019 Art Competition will be
\ndisplayed at the V.C. Bird International Airport and The Boom Restaurant at Gunpowder
\nHouse. Viewers of the art exhibition will gain a greater appreciation for Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p>\n

Entries are being accepted from students within the categories: ages 5 \u2013 12, and ages 13 \u2013
\n17. To be eligible the artwork should be no smaller than 14\u201d x 14\u201d and no larger than 14\u201d x
\n16\u201d.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The entry can be a painting or a drawing using quick-drying paint, watercolor\/acrylic
\npaint, crayon pencils\/wax crayons or collage.<\/p>\n

The entry may be submitted on Manilla Paper,
\nWater-Colour Paper or Bristol Board. Only one entry is allowed per student.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The winning pieces will be selected by a team of established artists in Antigua and
\nBarbuda\u2019s art community. Entries will be judged on creativity, relevance to the theme,
\ncontent and quality of presentation.<\/p>

All artwork must be submitted to the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, John E.
\nSt. Luce Building, Factory Road, Antigua no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday April 7,
\n2023.<\/p>\n
