One year after contestants participated in the Miss Antigua & Barbuda Pageant they have not been paid the monies owed to them.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

One contestant who went public with her disappointment Rohanna Smith says since her recent Facebook post no word has been forthcoming from the Festivals Commission.<\/p>\n

She said on social media that their silence over the last year does not mean the girls are satisfied with the non-payment.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Smith said the former contestants have been rallying privately for their monies to be paid but that has not worked.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

“With everything I\u2019ve been through entering Miss Antigua Barbuda, having it dragged on for this long is crazy!” Smith wrote.<\/p>\n

She said it is no defence that others have been waiting much longer than her “because quite frankly those people are quite comfortable.”<\/p>

Preparations are in high gear for another Miss\u00a0Antigua Barbuda Pageant next month.<\/p>\n

The festivals commission says it owes over 7 million dollars to past carnival service providers.<\/p>
