Prime Minister and Minister for Finance the Hon. Gaston Browne on Thursday presented his government\u2019s 2023 Budget to the House of Representatives.<\/u><\/u><\/p>

The country\u2019s leader presented the Budget under the theme\u00a0\u00a0\u201cReset, Recover, Revitalise\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

\u201cThe focus of this Budget will be to reset our approach as a nation, so as to recover from the adverse, lingering economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the pressing global consequences of the Russian war on Ukraine.\u00a0\u00a0Our objective is to fully revitalise our economy for the benefit of all,\u201d the Prime Minister stated.<\/u><\/u><\/p>

Prime Minister Browne stated that the Statement will present his government\u2019s rational that the nation has every reason to be optimistic about its future.<\/u><\/u><\/p>

\u201cMonths ago, our administration started the process of resetting our economy, to recover its dynamism and to revitalise its potential.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Our efforts were slowed, but not halted, by the vigorous campaign which culminated in the general elections that were held peacefully on January 18th<\/sup>,\u201d he said.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

\u201cWith a fresh mandate, in an open and democratic process, my government will accelerate the programmes and projects upon which it had already embarked, and which have already redounded to the benefit of our economy in almost every sector,\u201d Prime Minister Browne stated.<\/p>
