REAL NEWS: Several businesses, including two pizza restaurants, were the recent targets of thieves.<\/p>

Reports say the owner of One Stop Patta Pizza complained to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) that some unknown person had broken into the restaurant and stolen $500 in cash and a quantity of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.<\/p>\n

Further reports are that the intruder apparently used a prying implement to remove an eastern push-up window to gain entry into the building.<\/p>

This offence occurred sometime between 11:30 p.m.\u00a0 on February 21 and 7 a.m. on February 22 at Potters Village.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Meanwhile, a 39-year-old man, the owner of Baba\u2019s Pizza on Sir George Walter Highway, also reported to the CID that his business place had been broken into sometime between 12 a.m. and 10 a.m. on\u00a0February 23.<\/p>\n

Reportedly, the man had secured his business place at about midnight and gone home. However, on his return, at about 9:45 a.m. the same day, he discovered that the business had been broken into and $8,600 in cash and several soft drinks had been stolen.<\/p>

Apparently, the perpetrator had removed a screen from a southern push-up window, entered the business, and stolen the money and other items.<\/p>\n

It is alleged that a hard implement was used to pry open the window to gain entry, then another hard implement was used to break out a portion of an eastern wooden storeroom door.<\/p>

Reportedly, the intruder then went back into the restaurant area and stole a variety of soft drinks from the refrigerator.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

In another incident, a Freeman\u2019s Village woman, the owner of 4DS Groceries in Piggots Village, notified the\u00a0Parham Police Station that her business had been broken into and $150 in coins, along with a number of personal-care items, was stolen.<\/p>\n

The businesswoman said she had secured her business as usual and left. However,\u00a0when she returned, she discovered the western main entrance door open and the coins \u2013 along with a number of deodorants, lotions, conditioners and shampoos \u2013 missing from the shop.<\/p>\n

It appeared that a hard implement had been used to pry open the aluminum door, and then the intruder had used force to break an inner iron bar, creating a space to enter and steal the items.<\/p>\n

A search was carried out by the police for the missing items,\u00a0but without success.<\/p>\n

This offence reportedly occurred sometime between 5:15 p.m. on February 22 and 6:50 p.m. on February 23.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Ras Cafe Smoothie Bar, on the corner of High Street and Corn Alley, was also the target of thieves.<\/p>\n

The owner telephoned the\u00a0CID and reported that some unknown person had broken into his stand and stolen a\u00a0blender and a coffee-maker sometime between 5 p.m. on February 23 and 2 a.m. on February 24.<\/p>\n

Allegedly, the perpetrator had used a prying implement to open an eastern front metal lock to gain entry to the business.<\/p>\n
