With utmost respect for the \u2018Rule of Law,\u2019<\/strong> developments on the political landscape, showed nothing, but \u2018Electoral Loyalty\u2019 by the Constituents of \u2018St. Peter.\u2019 Such loyalty seemed to have been reserved for the only Candidate truly known to them- \u2018Asot Anthony Michael.\u2019<\/p>\n

POLITICALLY- BONDED<\/p>

As it relates to the relationship between \u2018Constituents and Constituency Representative,\u2019 \u2018Asot A. Michael,\u2019 has been long affiliated with the \u2018St. Peter Constituency.\u2019 Prior to his re-election as \u2018an Independent Candidate,<\/strong>\u2019 he has not only been \u2018socially accepted by the people, but also \u2018Politically-Bonded.\u2019 Such \u2018Bond of Friendship,\u2019 seemed steep in love and harmony. Besides, it has been a relationship that have been well established on with commonality of understanding of the issues that affect the various communities and the resident constituents, irrespective of persuasion or affiliation.<\/p>

COLLABORATIVELY AND ASSIDUOUSLY<\/p>\n

With such understanding and a desire and resolve in working \u2018Collaboratively and Assiduously,\u2019 pouring energies and imaginations in finding ways and resources in an attempt to overcome them. Those favored with his \u2018Spirit of Compassion\u2019 and unsparing and unspeakable generosity, seemed not to have set out to cause him unnecessary electoral mental pain. The same may not truthfully be said of those that continue to show ingratitude, despising him, as they endeavor to bring upon himself, family and loyal organizational colleagues and constituents, adversity and misery.<\/p>

PERSPECTIVE<\/p>\n

The self-explanatory contents of this commentary are primarily the results of research conducted on social and mainstream media. Consequent upon seized and accessible information, it allows for an extensive look at; (a) \u2018The ministerial woes, and (b) Disciplinary predicament\u2019 of \u2018St. Peter Constituency and Parliamentary Representative, Asot Anthony Michael 53.\u2019 In \u2018Organizational Clique,\u2019 the strong must feed upon the intellectually weak and exploit the vulnerable and docile. When they would have outlived their usefulness, they shall be edged out. Such has been the culture of most organizations. There shall be no doubt that these contentions have, and continue to resonate with leaders with the understanding of the concept- \u2018Pragmatism.\u2019 This has been among other characteristics exhibited by current Prime Minister, Gaston Alfonso Browne 55.\u2019 It specifically looks at some intriguing developments in the recent past. The cleverness of some players, is most admirable. For a light moment, it is interspersed with a bit of humor.<\/p>

SEEDS OF DISCORD<\/p>

When the \u2018Executive\u2019 of the \u2018Antigua and Barbuda Labor Party (ABLP)\u2019 imposed its will upon his \u2018St. Peter\u2019 constituents, they had in fact sown \u2018Seeds of Discord.\u2019<\/strong> The organizational executive appeared to have underestimated or misunderstood the resolve of the \u2018St. Peter Constituents.\u2019 While the overwhelming majority may not necessarily have vocalized their objection, they will have been silently and quietly considering their individual and collective responses.\u2019 That which they have shown as evidence of defiance of displeasure, may have been their \u2018Inky-Index Fingers.\u2019<\/p>\n

VENGEANCE WAS OURS<\/p>\n

While the Scripture forbids \u2018Prayers for Vain Glory\u2019 [KJV: Galatians 5: 26], yet likened to its declaration of the \u2018Lord,\u2019 of that which precariously hangs for the \u2018Sinful and Iniquitous,\u2019 the electorate of \u2018St. Peter,\u2019 constituency, consisting of; (a)<\/strong> \u2018Gunthorpe\u2019s and Light Foote: (b)<\/strong> Paynter\u2019s Paradise and Parham; (c)<\/strong> Vernon\u2019s and Pares Village,\u2019 they may still say to the party executive; \u2018Vengeance Was Ours<\/strong>\u2019 [KJV: Romans 12: 19].Constituents shall now kneel and pray and say after their Parliamentary Representative; \u2018Jesus Christ is King, Hallelujah.\u2019<\/p>\n

POINT OF REBELLION<\/p>\n

The executive appeared to have incensed them to \u2018Point of Rebellion.\u2019 Thus, the constituents were aware of the apparent victimizing attitude of the \u2018Executive.\u2019 This was imminent when newcomer \u2018Rawdon Turner\u2019<\/strong> was selected as the constituency candidate to contest the \u2018January 2023 General Elections.\u2019 The eligible voters knew that in whatever way, shape or form, and in any place designated for ballot casting, the \u2018Index Fingers\u2019 would do all the talking. Such would have been the opportune time to ventilate their feelings and exhibit their grievances. Likened to the executive, their \u2018Parliamentary Representative-Asot A. Michael,\u2019 also have shared vested interests in the constituency.<\/p>\n

ESTRANGED MEMBER<\/p>\n

It appeared that from any direction the \u2018Winds of Adversity\u2019 blow, his organizational troubles mount like the mounds of \u2018Red Ants\u2019 that instinctively attack humans, though not for spite, but simply to deliver most painful of bites. Since acrimoniously made \u2018an Estranged Member\u2019<\/strong> of his longstanding political organization, research has revealed a startling \u2018Letter of Exclusion\u2019 to \u2018Executive Meetings.\u2019 The contents partially referrers partially states; \u2018Your disruptive and hostile behavior towards the Party and its leadership has created a chasm that prevents you from playing any meaningful role within the \u2018Executive\u2019 body of the ABLP.\u2019 Invariably, some people behave like \u2018Red Ants\u2019 and bite like hell.<\/p>\n

CONSTITUENCY AND CONSTITUENTS<\/p>\n

For some five years, though these have bedeviled him, his focus has been on the constituency, while his interest has been in the constituents. The same period has passed since the \u2018St. Peter Constituency and Parliamentary Representative\u2019 came to the attention of \u2018British authorities.\u2019 This resulted in a non-destined, but unexpected travel interruption through \u2018London Heathrow International Airport.\u2019 It has also been the same period, his organization kept making life as miserable as it could. Interestingly, in spite of restored liberty and unrestricted movement, he has been bedeviled by speculations that appear wild and rife with inuendoes.<\/p>\n

PROBABILITY v HOSTILITY<\/p>\n

It also cited several \u2018Lawsuits,\u2019 instituted against the \u2018Party Leadership.\u2019 Instructively, the litigious actions were described as \u2018hostile\u2019 [ANU Observer: October 25, 2021]. Those familiar with litigious proceedings, should know that Courts\u2019 mostly look at inter alia; (a) \u2018Abuse of Process;\u2019 and (b) Give consideration to determine whether or not \u2018Pleadings\u2019 have any reasonable prospects of success. This the legal practitioners know in mainly based\u00a0 upon the question of \u2018Probability,<\/strong>\u2019 as opposed to \u2018Hostility.\u2019 <\/strong>He knows the Courts the reasons and purposes for such institution. The organization shall know, that when actions seem vindictive or acrimoniously-intended or procedurally-suspect, such institution shall be caused to be visited upon them.<\/p>\n

JUDICIAL SCRUTINY<\/p>\n

That which shall be said, is that research has shown that even without ventilation of that which may have been committed to privacy or secrecy, it has not been subjected to Judicial Scrutiny.\u2019 British authorities were quoted as saying; \u2018No conditions were imposed on his; (a) \u2018Travels in; or (b) Out of the United Kingdom\u2019 [Observer: October 25, 2017]. He appears mindful of the reckless utterances and doings. These he saw as inimical to his personal and vested political interests. There was absolutely no need to have dialogue with those so referred in this commentary.<\/p>\n

TEN VICIOUS MEN<\/p>\n

Unlike the experiences of world-renowned social commentator \u2018Slinger Francisco, \u2018Mighty Sparrow,\u2019 incumbent candidate \u2018Asot Anthony Michael 53,\u2019 was not attacked by \u2018Ten Vicious Men.\u2019 They were armed with \u2018Big stick and boulder. They were not only \u2018playing bad,\u2019 but also \u2018wanted to dig out me liver.\u2019 They brought him immense \u2018Stress.\u2019 This was not about politics. They accused him of \u2018Pushing a girl from Grenada.\u2019 He explained that he tried to run \u2018when they came up in me skin with \u2018Big stick and boulder.\u2019 But \u2018In the heat of excitement; With no Police in the area, and \u2018No place to shelter,\u2019 a burst of gunfire saw \u2018Every man scatter.\u2019<\/p>\n

SPACE INTRUSION AND VOTES<\/p>\n

The \u2018Mighty Sparrow\u2019 was said to be lone man left standing. This suggested that he was as \u2018Mighty\u2019 as the gun he evidently possessed for his personal protection [Song: Ten to One Is Murder: YouTube]. Under different set of circumstances, the incumbent \u2018St. Peter Member of Parliament, Asot A. Michael,\u2019 encountered two men and one woman at the polls. They were not physically vicious, and appeared not threateningly violent. They were contending candidates. In the persona, they were identified as; (i) \u2018Chaneil Imhoff; (ii) Trevaughn Harriet; and (iii) Rawdon Turner.\u2019 Contrastingly, the incumbent encountered a different situation over \u2018Intrusion of Space\u2019 with incumbent \u2018Prime Minister, Gaston Browne\u2019 [Loop: January 1, 2023]. Instructively, their primary, and respective visits were \u2018Votes.\u2019<\/p>\n

WISE COUNSEL<\/p>\n

It has been the professional training that the \u2018Security Detail\u2019 shall take the first \u2018Thump\u2019 in protecting the \u2018Prime Minister.\u2019 Whether it was an intimidatory tactic, or simply jestingly or testing his resolve, the \u2018St. Peter re-elect candidate, appeared not to have apprehended fear of actual physical violence. Seemingly adhering to \u2018Wise Counsel\u2019<\/strong> and Security-restraint allowed for cooler heads to prevail. Had such incident in fact occurred, it may have been reminiscent of an ensuing brawl between two women – \u2018Crazy Ellie and Big Foot Maude.\u2019 Relating that incident, \u2018Sir Paul \u2018King Obstinate\u2019 Richards KCN,\u2019 reveals the encounter, as the two were \u2018Cussing on Green Bay Hill.\u2019<\/p>\n

VANTAGE POINT<\/p>\n

Not intending to be drawn into adult \u2018Women Melee\u2019 or to get a \u2018Thump,\u2019 yet still curious to hear and witness the commotion, Obsti said that he \u2018climbed into a \u2018Tamarind Tree.\u2019 Well perched, from such vantage point, he was well-positioned to observe the activity. He heard them \u2018Cussing hard. He witnessed \u2018Nosey Millie visit the yard \u2018Crazy Ellie\u2019s hungry husband arrived. With food not yet cooked and ready, he wielded \u2018One Thump\u2019<\/strong> in \u2018Ellie\u2019s mouth.\u2019 Her nose bled.\u2019 Then he wielded another \u2018Thump\u2019 that \u2018knocked \u2018Maude\u2019s false teeth completely out of her mouth.\u2019 Eventually, climbing down from the Tamarind tree, he saw the ending of the fight inside \u2018Charles White\u2019s Shop.\u2019 [1958: King Obstinate: Wet Your Hand: YouTube]. This commentary, however, is neither about \u2018Crazy Ellie; her hungry husband, Nosey Millie, nor \u2018Bigfoot Maude.\u2019<\/p>\n

PERSEVERED AND PREVAILED<\/p>\n

Amidst his adversities, he has not only \u2018Persevered,\u2019 but also \u2018Prevailed.\u2019 In the recent electoral contest, exhibiting his formidability, brutally he floored rival candidates. This had been the trend in the several \u2018Polling Districts\u2019 until the \u2018Last Ballot- \u2018accepted; spoilt; or rejected,\u2019 was finally counted. The eligible voters, registering unfathomable displeasure at that that which the populace, rightly or wrongly, has perceived as \u2018acrimonious vendetta and vindictiveness\u2019 dished out against the \u2018St. Peter Parliamentary Representative.\u2019 The eligible voters within the \u2018St. Peter\u2019 constituency, have made the boldest of electoral statements yet, to the political-directorate.<\/p>\n

REJECTED CANDIDATE<\/p>\n

When the leadership and executive of their own-affiliated political organization- \u2018The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP)\u2019 provoked the ire in its support base in the \u2018St. Peter Constituency, constituents, relying upon the power of the index fingers of the eligible voters, saw the \u2018Wrath of the Constituents\u2019 descended heavily upon both, the \u2018Rejected Candidate\u2019 and their organization. Their \u2018will\u2019 seemed to have energized the mind and buoyed their \u2018Parliamentary Representative, \u2018Asot A. Michael.\u2019 There was much at stake, and they have ensured that he was the triumphant candidate. He has stood for, and with them, through good and bad times.<\/p>\n

STIGMATIZED GIVE-AWAYS<\/p>\n

Except for the \u2018Bold and the Brave,\u2019 those eligible to vote, and have voted, communicated to other constituencies that the exercise of their franchise, individually and collectively, have more worth than of the \u2018Stigmatized\u2019 electoral party \u2018Give-Aways\u2019<\/strong> of hams and turkeys,\u2019 to \u2018Vote for Party.\u2019 While elected candidate \u2018Asot A. Michael\u2019 has expended resources in various ways, for various reasons and various places, it appears not to have been only when \u2018General Elections\u2019 were imminent. As it relates to the \u2018St. Peter Constituency\u2019 constituents\u2019 appreciation will have shown a consistency in results at the polls in previous and in the most recent national elections.<\/p>\n

DE FACTO REPRESENTATIVE<\/p>\n

The voting population within that constituency, has not only caused \u2018Ripples\u2019 on the \u2018Lake of Tranquility,\u2019 but also an \u2018Electoral Quake\u2019 on the political landscape.\u2019 The voters have not only elected such Candidate, but have in fact \u2018re-elected their \u2018De facto<\/strong> Constituency Representative.\u2019 The industrially-stable 108 Square mile twin-island nation of \u2018Antigua and Barbuda,\u2019 \u2018Quaked,\u2019 intensely, thereby sending shock waves across its four cardinal points. This speaks true, when for the very first time in the nation\u2019s political and electoral history, since the advent of \u2018Universal Adult Suffrage\u2019 [ANU: 1951], voters have elected \u2018an Independent Candidate to the Parliament.<\/p>\n

POLITICAL IMPREGNABILITY<\/p>\n

The two males and one female candidate, that contested the elections to oust him as \u2018Parliamentary Representative\u2019 met with, and understood his \u2018Political Impregnability.\u2019 The voting population overwhelmingly cast their votes in his favor. When the polls were closed and ballots were tallied, he triumphed over them. The trio; (i)\u2019Rawdon Turner amassed – \u2018899:<\/strong> (ii) Trevaughn Harriette- 541<\/strong>; and (iii) Chaneil Imhoff- 29.<\/strong>\u2019 Collectively, they polled \u20181, 469 votes.\u2019 Statistical data from the \u2018Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC),\u2019 confirmed through published results that of the Votes cast, the incumbent \u2018Asot A. Michael,\u2019 was favored with \u20182,137\u2019<\/strong> of the \u20183, 680\u2019 votes cast. The voter turnout was reported to have represented \u201880% of the eligible registered voters of \u20184, 609\u2019<\/strong> [Observer: January 19, 2023].<\/p>\n

WILL AND WISHES<\/p>\n

Now, that which appeared to have left many dumbfounded, has been a peculiar development within the \u2018St. Peter Electoral Districts.\u2019 That which the voters have made sufficiently clear, was that in future \u2018General Elections\u2019 Candidates forced upon them, by whatever processes, legitimate or illegitimate; democratic or undemocratic or \u2018Dogs\u2019 dressed up in whatever color \u2018T-Shirts,\u2019 their wrath shall descend upon both \u2018Candidates and nominating Party\u2019 with telling effect. The Voters flatly rejected party-selected candidates against their \u2018Will and Wishes.\u2019 As a consequence, they have re-elected their \u2018Party-Ousted Candidate – Asot A. Michael\u2019 as their \u2018Representative.\u2019<\/p>\n

ORGANIZATIONAL CANNIBALISM<\/p>\n

From the perspective of organizational culture, he knew those with propensities for devising and scheming. Equally as much, he knew those capable of being described as treacherous. Moreover, he must know just what was meant by \u2018Organizational Cannibalism.\u2019 Likened to the \u2018Idi Amin\u2019 man-eating \u2018Tribe of Africa,\u2019 where humans form part of the food chain, though not necessarily in a literal sense, in some organizations where members were constantly jostling for position and power, they must not only eat one another. The ambitious, must go after those that wield power, and those harboring threats, must keep them in check. They must develop \u2018Ways and Means Committee\u2019 to do so. Surreptitiously, schemes must be devised to \u2018Conquer or Sever.\u2019<\/p>\n

ASPIRATIONS AND AMBITIONS<\/p>\n

Whatever may have been his political \u2018Ambitions and Aspirations,\u2019 he seemed oblivious to societal status, color, class or creed. To the organizational membership, he was seen as the \u2018Godfather of Generosity.\u2019 It was also revealed that not only individual members had significantly benefited from his \u2018Generosity,\u2019 but also the organization as a whole. Elections or not, he has, and continues to reach out to people of dissimilar, but distinct pigmentation. Significant sums of his wealth were said to have been expended to cover costs for inter alia; \u2018non-benefit concerts; Contracting regional and local entertainers, to sourcing of \u2018Party and Manifestos; Paraphernalia; and Billboards\u2019 for all a sundry.<\/p>\n

BORN TO LUXURY<\/p>\n

Some people were born to live in luxury, while others were born to live in poverty and misery. This has certainly not been the circumstance for, \u2018Asot A. Michael.\u2019 Born to an affluent business- family, he lives in luxury. He may have taken the position to stand aloof of those not his peers. Instead, he appeared to have taken the conscious position in reaching out to people seen as being born into abject poverty. As a politician, he will have seen constituent-householders in situations that had forced many to the \u2018Edge of Poverty.\u2019 Conscious of his own circumstances and moved by their haplessness, he took the conscious humanitarian decision\u2019 that with a compassionate heart, he shall be as \u2018Caring, sharing, and as loving,\u2019 as the constituents\u2019 circumstances demand.<\/p>\n

ASOT CARES<\/p>\n

These appeared not to have been necessarily political posturing, but instead attributes that speak to humanitarianism and love of humanity. In spite of his \u2018Trials and tribulations,\u2019 the \u2018St. Peter Constituency Representative, appeared as formidable and supportable,\u2019 as any candidate on the national political landscape. When he became the \u2018St. Peter Member of Parliament,\u2019 he coined, and the people popularized the terminology, \u2018Asot Cares for the People.\u2019<\/strong> By his deeds and innumerable acts of kindness, these two words appeared to have been engraved upon their hearts and minds.<\/p>\n

GOODWILL GESTURE<\/p>\n

The then incumbent, \u2018Asot A Michael,\u2019 showed no wavering in his determination in rendering much needed assistance to his constituents who, facing harsh financial realities, had found themselves in dire straits. Such \u2018Goodwill Gesture,\u2019 speaks to \u2018Attributes and Attitudes\u2019 that have seen many constituents and other people gravitated to his personality. Consequent upon the \u2018January 18- General Elections,\u2019 across the nation of \u2018Antigua and Barbuda,\u2019 he has been easily seen as the most popular candidate that has triumphantly emerged in the race to the bi-cameral \u2018Chambers of the King\u2019s Parliament.\u2019<\/p>\n

MAN TO MAN<\/p>\n

The St. Peter Constituents stood with, and rallied behind him, while the eligible registered Voters, voted overwhelmingly against the respective \u2018Party-Nominated Candidates of; (i) \u2018Rawdon Turner: (ii) \u2026Trevaughn Harriette: and (iii) \u2026Chaneil Imhoff\u2019 [January 18, 2023]. \u00a0Though there were no unfavorable odds, electorally, the constituents have made him triumphant. They have become much closer, more trusted and immensely supportive. \u2018They were aware of not just his political woes, but also his plight in having to fight to retain his membership in the political organization. Today, so-called friends and colleagues have become his \u2018worst enemies.\u2019 Asot A. Michael\u2019 now understands the lyrical contents and meaning of the \u2018Robert Nesta \u2018Bob\u2019 Marley\u2019s song; \u2018Man to man\u2019 [YouTube].<\/p>\n

TREACHERY AND MANIPULATION<\/p>\n

He knew that when the executive instituted organizational disciplinary measures against him, the well-positioned members, as well as those assigned to inquire into his behavioral transgressions, for reasons of \u2018Treachery and Manipulation,\u2019 could precipitate his expulsion from the organization. Though not necessarily placing reliance upon the favors of sycophants, he still held confidence the \u2018Disciplinary Committee Member.\u2019 He knew that while comrade \u2018Hilroy Humphrey\u2019 was party to the proceedings, he shall properly guide members to reaching informed decisions, void of influence and bias. Even so, he took comfort only in the knowledge and belief that his constituents would remain unwaveringly loyal.<\/p>\n

STATEGIC SHREWDNESS<\/p>\n

Though he had to contend with those that tried to deny him a fourth electoral term, independent incumbent \u2018Asot A. Michael\u2019 harbored no fear of the \u2018Agony of Defeat.\u2019 His \u2018Strategic Shrewdness,\u2019 <\/strong>never allowed for electoral defeat. The two male contenders and one woman\u2019 posed no threat, neither to his candidacy, nor his support-base. Politically, he was invincible. That which confronted him, were those issues that may have been self-created, or those otherwise created for him. For instance, when he fell out of harmony with the executive of his politically-affiliated organization- \u2018Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP),\u2019 he knew that his \u2018Political Troubles\u2019 may have mushroomed into struggles and lengthy legal battles.<\/p>\n

DEFEATS AND TRIUMPHS<\/p>\n

In his ministerial capacity, whatever may have been his transgressions, he has been the only one of his kind. When he was relieved of his ministerial responsibilities, the media also quoted him as saying; \u2018I do not consider that any justifiable question has arisen that I have failed to comply with the highest standards required of public office\u2019 [SKN News: October 26, 2017]. \u00a0If nothing else, he may have dined with people in high places, but never seemed to have lost his common touch. That said, the commentary particularly looks at his; (a) \u2018Trials and tribulations; (b) Troubles and struggles; (c) Political woes and agony; and \u2018Defeats and Triumphs.\u2019 Equally as much as he knew the \u2018Good and bad,\u2019 he also knew the schemers and the treacherous.<\/p>\n

VOTING FOR PARTY<\/p>\n

Consequently, they were determined to dispelled the harbored notion that \u2018Voting for Party,\u2019 <\/strong>through a \u2018dressed-up dog or donkey,\u2019 was never, and could never be an option. Moreover, any hand-picked candidate shall not only expose himself, but also sure to experience the \u2018Agony of Defeat.\u2019 Though \u2018candidature of their long-recognized constituency representative status had merely shifted to that of \u2018an Independent Candidate,\u2019 in their eyes, he was the \u2018De Facto Representative.\u2019 The eligible voters of that constituency had determined to make it sufficiently clear, that the talk of \u2018dressing up a dog or donkey\u2019 in a \u2018Red Shirt,\u2019 and that they would vote for a \u2018Party,\u2019 was everything, but an ill-conceived myth.<\/p>\n

GENES AND BLOOD<\/p>\n

He not only had adequate resources for litigious expenses, but also the will and a steely resolve to fight. He relied upon their moral and political support. These were all that mattered. His courage appeared to have been derived more from the constituents and of his own \u2018Will,\u2019 together with the \u2018Spirit\u2019 of his ancestors. Strategically, this required some form of \u2018Connivance and Collaboration.\u2019 This appeared to have been the best and most effective way of ousting \u2018Sir Lester.\u2019 Seemingly using both the power of \u2018Influence and Affluence,\u2019 \u2018Asot Anthony Michael\u2019 may have been willing to do, not just the unthinkable, but anything, once the \u2018End justifies the mean.\u2019<\/p>\n

ORGANIZATIONAL CONVENTION<\/p>\n

Before \u2018Sir Lester could say; \u2018Give me an Aspirin,\u2019 an organizational Convention was convened. When the proceedings were over and all formalities completed, the attending \u2018pro-Gaston Browne; Steadroy \u2018Cutie\u2019 Benjamin and Asot Anthony Michael delegates\u2019 reportedly voted overwhelmingly for the \u2018Political Leadership\u2019 to be also wrested from him. It was obvious as to who would emerge as the new \u2018Political Leader.\u2019 Except for one of the more novel \u2018Ministerial Positions,\u2019 there was no leadership positions for the \u2018St. Peter Parliamentary Representative\u2019 appeared not to have been in the reckoning. This not only marked the \u2018End of Birdism,\u2019 but also that which had been described the \u2018Bird Political Dynasty.\u2019<\/p>\n

GHOST OF SIR VERE<\/p>\n

The once-dominated political landscape of the \u2018Bird\u2019s,\u2019 shall cease to exist. This came when public pronouncements indicated that no member of the once dominant \u2018Bird Family,\u2019 would be part of the paradigm-shift in the new organizational leadership. This necessarily meant that neither the \u2018Ghosts of Sir Vere Cornwall Bird; his eldest son Vere Bird Jr,\u2019 nor his grandsons and political-aspirants \u2018Sean Bird,\u2019 nor \u2018Vere Bird III,\u2019 shall be allowed membership in the re-named political organization \u2018Antigua and Barbuda Labor Party (ABLP)\u2019 [2006-]. \u00a0Dismayed, but not dispirited, the latter, forming his own organization, named it; \u2018The True Antigua Labour Party (TALP).\u2019 Subsequently, the latter joined forces with the main opposition, The \u2018United Progressive Party (UPP).\u2019<\/p>\n

Though not necessarily outdone some colleagues-friends or foes,\u2019 pundits have described his successful showings as; \u2018Phenomenal.\u2019 Unfazed over the \u2018Political Swipes,\u2019 he contested the ensuing and successive \u2018General Elections from;\u2019 (i) \u2018\u20262009; (ii) \u20262014; (iii) \u20262018; and (iv) \u20262023,\u2019 thereby subjected opposing Candidates to the \u2018Agony of Defeat.\u2019<\/p>\n

TEAMS OF CANDIDATES<\/p>\n

One-to-one and three-to- one,\u2019 he trimmed everyone down to numbers not equal to the \u2018tall-of-wickets\u2019 taken by former Antigua and Barbuda and West Indies fast bowler, \u2018Sir Curtly Ambrose KCN [405]. Though the \u20182009 General Elections\u2019 had produced results, less than desirable.
