Former Chairman Bruce Goodwin says he is hoping the Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) is ready for the January 18 polls and can support its claim of being prepared.<\/p>

Goodwin is concerned about the photo list, which, in 2009, had not been printed in time for the opening of the polls at 6 a.m. He hopes that scenario will not be repeated this time around and the register is not being printed on the morning of the election.<\/p>\n

Therefore, he recommends that Harold Lovell, the United Progressive Party (UPP) Political Leader, should call on ABEC Chairman John Jarvis to make a public statement and guarantee that everything is fully in place for the General Election on Wednesday.<\/p>
