Dear Madam CJ,<\/p>

Thank you for your candid confession on the delay failures of our Judiciary and the need for integrity among its various arms.<\/p>\n

Forgive me for being gender conscious, but it will take a woman, and a commitment before leaving the honorable post, to grapple with this ancient dinosaur in the room.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/div>\n

Madam, the great judges of the past, had concerns for the poor, and did understand that the poor and wronged do not have time, and challenged the Court registry as urgency demanded.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

With growth in all sectors of the economy today, including crime, and all of its modern white collared variations, the delay in achieving justice in the Court has now also become a crime.<\/p>\n

The Magistrate\u2019s Court is really no better, and the Police has been contaminated by politics, all thereby establishing the platform of injustice.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Justice is now paper, politics and lawyers, some of whom are real charlatans who demand to be fully paid upfront, as apposed to how lawyering all started, and espoused by the pocket at the back of the gown worn by those who appear before Court.<\/p>\n

Madam Justice, we beg of you before your departure into oblivion ( the place we store our retired judges) please get a revolution rolling, even as your speech should have encouraged.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

However, you must know you cannot depend on the Executive or for that matter the Legislature to help you, as they are the culprits in allowing the most important arm of government to whither, and become the disgust of the majority, which include the poor.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Madam we need an overhaul of how we do the Justice business in our culture, where the poor do not have time to survive the Court delay. Those who seek Justice often are forced to give up, for lack of money, to continue the many years journey to Justice through the Court. Money should not be the reason one gets or not gets Justice.<\/p>\n

Finally Madam, the dependence of the Judiciary on the Executive must cease if the administration of Justice is to maintain the separation of powers. You are expected to use your persuasive powers to bring the remaining countries of the OECS into the CCJ at the same time, and, before you leave office.<\/p>\n

The women of the Caribbean must make sense of our institutions whenever they get the opportunity, and the independence of our Court is your opportunity, please Ma\u2019am, do not, do not miss it, you have a second chance.<\/p>\n

God Bless you for your consideration for our youth.<\/p>\n
