The Cabinet agreed to provide the funding necessary\u00a0to the Integrity Commission for all and any investigations which it may commence, government’s Chief of Staff Lionel Max Hurst has said.<\/p>

The matter came up in Cabinet yesterday amid calls for the integrity commission to investigate persons in public life who breached provisions of the Integrity in Public Life Act.<\/p>\n

The Commission, in a press statement last Friday, said it would be asking the government or police for the resources to do the probe since it is not adequately staffed\/ equipped to move forward.<\/p>

Over the weekend, Prime Minister Gaston Browne committed to making the monies available\u00a0\u201cI understand that the [Commission] said they may not have the resources, but where the request is made for additional resources, we have an obligation to supply the additional resources.\u201d<\/p>
