Police are investigating a robbery that took place at a bar in Martins Village where an off-duty police officer was shot in the leg.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Allegations are that around 12:30 am on Thursday14th<\/sup> June 2018, a lone masked individual exited a car and robbed the patrons of the SP Bar of their money.\u00a0 Shots were fired by the intruder during the committal of the robbery one of which hit the officer in the left leg. The officer was the only person injured during the robbery and the doctors at the MSJMS confirms that his injury is not life-threatening.<\/p>\n

The perpetrator is described as being about five feet three inches tall, medium built, dark in complexion, dressed in camouflaged clothing black sneakers and was wearing a dark mask.<\/p>

Police are appealing to anyone with information concerning this crime to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at 462-3913 and 462-3914 or the nearest Police Station.<\/p>
