Progressive Youth, the youth arm of the United Progressive Party (UPP) will convene a Youth Public Forum under the theme\u00a0YOUR VOICE MATTERS.<\/strong>\u00a0This event will be held on Sunday December 4th at 6pm at Freedom Hall on Lower Newgate Street.<\/p>

 <\/p>\n

The Youth Public Forum is part of a series of events that will celebrate UPPLiftment Week and highlight the UPP\u2019s main message of \u201cRelief, Recovery and Shared Prosperity.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The event will feature a Networking Reception at 6pm and a Discussion moderated by social media influencer J.Truth and attorney-at-law Chandera Codrington. It will also feature a panel of UPP Candidates and a participative space for young people to contribute their ideas and provide feedback on the UPP\u2019s youth policy development.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is an opportunity for the youth voices to share their knowledge and expertise and to ask important questions about the UPP’s plans for youth development, housing, jobs, entrepreneurship, education, sports and other issues,\u201d said Hon. Jamale Pringle, Leader of the Opposition.<\/p>

 <\/p>\n

As Antiguans and Barbudans prepare to go the polls, the UPP will release some of the Party\u2019s youth policies and programs.<\/p>\n

According to UPP Political Leader, Harold Lovell, throughout the past year, the UPP has been in full listening mode to ensure that voters have a bigger voice in decisions that affect all aspects of their lives.<\/p>

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThe lack of jobs has been identified as one of the main issues affecting our youth.\u00a0 The economy is not producing enough jobs for people entering the workforce force and those most affected are our young people. We will present new policies to address underemployment and skills mismatch to address job creation among our youth,\u201d Lovell said.<\/p>\n

The Progressive Youth is the youth arm of the United Progressive Party(UPP).<\/p>
