Dr. Baldwin Spencer \u2013 the former Prime Minister and Past Political Leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP) \u2013<\/p>

joined a chorus of UPP Candidates on Thursday night, November 17, calling for the removal of the Antigua Labour Party Government.<\/p>\n

Spencer was speaking at the Party\u2019s \u201cRelief and Recovery Rally,\u201d staged at Thwaites Corner, at which members of the Barbuda People\u2019s Movement (BPM) also joined the call.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Spencer said the people of Antigua and Barbuda deserve much better than they are receiving from the Browne Administration.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Accordingly, he says, it would be in their best interest to redeem, and rescue the country and embark upon a serious recovery programme led by the UPP.<\/p>\n

The former Prime Minister adds that, going forward, it should be everyone\u2019s pledge to put country above party.<\/p>

Spencer again endorsed the UPP\u2019s 16 Candidates \u2013 known as \u201cThe Redeem Team\u201d \u2013 saying he is satisfied that the Party is the answer to the country\u2019s economic crisis,<\/p>\n

and he reiterated that the UPP is committed to its \u201cPeople First\u201d philosophy.<\/p>

Meanwhile, Dr. Spencer promised he will continue to work with the Party to bring about meaningful change in the country,<\/p>

and he appealed to all the Candidates and Party supporters to ready themselves for the day of the election.<\/p>\n
