\u00a0<\/strong>Antigua Cruise Port has confirmed that a luxury yacht owned by Switzerland-based Emerald Cruises will homeport in Antigua in 2023.<\/p>\n

Emerald Azzurra will begin conducting full turnaround calls at St. John\u2019s from November.<\/p>

Emerald Sakara will also begin transit calls on both Antigua and calls at Barbuda in January 2024.<\/p>

ABOUT ANTIGUA CRUISE PORT<\/p>\n

Located \u0130n St. John\u2019s harbor, Antigua Cruise Port is the gateway to the city, serving over 800,000 passengers annually. The company will redevelop the port under the Antigua Cruise Port Development Project through a 30-year lease agreement between the Government of Antigua & Barbuda and Global Ports Holding. As a part of the marine works, Antigua Cruise Port has a new pier that can accommodate the biggest ships in the industry, making it possible for the port to welcome up to one million passengers per year. Upon completion, the new port will also have brand-new retail and food and beverage facilities, plus an additional 50,000 sq. ft. of commercial space that will be leased to Antiguans and Barbudans.<\/p>\n
