The young man who damaged a glass door at the Digicel Market Street branch over a week ago\u00a0has\u00a0been remanded to His Majesty\u2019s Prison.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

The Police arrested and charged Dexter George, of no fixed place of abode, for attempting to break into the store on Tuesday, September 13, at about 2 a.m.<\/p>\n

George made his first appearance before Magistrate Conliffe Clarke on Thursday, September 22, and pleaded guilty to malicious damage and not guilty to the attempted break-in.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Clarke denied him bail, and George will return to court on October 12 for his trial.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Officers were reportedly on mobile patrol duty in St. John\u2019s when they heard the alarm at the\u00a0Digicel\u00a0store going off.<\/p>\n

When they went to investigate, they\u00a0observed that the glass door, valued at $3,000, was shattered, and several pieces of concrete block were outside the door.<\/p>

Reports are that officers from Special Security Services were able to apprehend the suspect, and George, 22, was handed over to the Police.<\/p>\n
