Thousands of vouchers distributed by SUGP<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

Organizers of the 2022 School Uniform Grant Programme are reporting that a total of 8,854 vouchers have been distributed to beneficiaries as of 4th July, 2022.<\/p>\n

That figure is expected to rise significantly as the new school year approaches and parents and guardians make preparation for their children to return to classrooms.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Each voucher issued is redeemed for a regular pair of uniform at select vendors across the island.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Supervisor of the SUGP, Tanesha Mckenzie-James is expressing satisfaction at the smooth execution of the programme. She said the intention is to have beneficiaries complete the process within a short period of time and she is pleased that the employees are living up to expectations in offering excellent customer service to people visiting the Multi-Purpose Cultural and Exhibition Centre, venue for the SUGP.<\/p>\n

Mckenzie-James is informing the general public that in order for new students to be registered with the programme, a copy their birth certificate or passport information must be presented, along with an acceptance letter from the school or the school report for the third term.<\/p>

Additionally, the parent or guardian must present a government issued photo identification card.<\/p>\n

If application is made to the Ministry of Education and Sports for transfers, the SUGP should not be accessed until a decision is returned.<\/p>

The 2022 School Uniform Grant Programme (SUGP) ends on Friday 2nd<\/sup> September.<\/p>
