In a statement Saturday afternoon, the Ministry of Health & Wellness has confirmed our news centre\u2019s reporting that Jamaica\u2019s first monkey pox patient has escaped from the hospital.<\/p>\n

The health ministry says the man escaped after noon.<\/p>

\u201cAnyone with information about his whereabouts are asked to contact the police immediately,\u201d said the health ministry in a statement.<\/p>
