Antigua Sailing Week with the generous support of the\u00a0Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority<\/a>\u00a0is pleased to<\/span>\u00a0announce that the Road to Antigua Sailing Week 2023 starts this weekend.<\/p>

This traveling roadshow is a series of\u00a0invitational regattas\u00a0outside of Antigua \u2013the United\u00a0Kingdom, USA and Germany – hosting a remarkable competition that\u00a0offers Corinthian, yacht club and amateur sailors the opportunity to win the adventure of a lifetime with an expenses paid trip to experience\u00a0Antigua Sailing Week<\/a>\u00a0next year.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Royal Southern Yacht Club\u00a0<\/a>(RSrnYC) in the Hamble in the UK will announce the opportunity at this weekends\u00a0Salcombe Gin July Regatta, on July 9 and 10.<\/a><\/p>

Sailors from yacht clubs around the region are invited to enter to participate in the final competition of the RSrnYC\u00a0annual summer series<\/a>, the\u00a0Land Union September Regatta\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>on\u00a0September 24 and 25<\/a>. The RSrnYC\u00a0Summer Series features two race\u00a0courses in the Solent with eight classes for keelboats and sport-boats.<\/p>

At the end of the event, participants will see the winner of the\u00a0coveted bareboat entry into Antigua Sailing Week determined,\u00a0with the\u00a0prize\u00a0awarded\u00a0at the RSrnYC end of season ball in November.<\/p>\n

Representatives from Antigua & Barbuda will be on hand at the event this weekend to answer questions\u00a0and share details\u00a0about participation\u00a0via bareboat charter or race charter\u00a0in this grandaddy of Caribbean regattas. Plus, they will be back again in September\u00a0to toast the winners Caribbean style with\u00a0English Harbour Rum<\/a>!<\/p>

Antigua Sailing Week\u00a0race manager Jaime Torres says \u201cWe are so excited to be able to offer this prize again to our partners the Royal Southern Yacht Club. The bareboat classes are incredibly competitive but are also able to have a lot of fun\u00a0both on and off the water. A phenomenal way to experience ASW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\u00a0addition to the bareboat from\u00a0Dream Yacht Charter\u00a0<\/a>the prize also includes\u00a0round trip flights\u00a0for 6 from London\u00a0to Antigua, Axxess Go private wi-fi from\u00a0Axxess Marine<\/a>,\u00a0plus dockage in UNESCO heritage\u00a0Nelson\u2019s Dockyard\u00a0<\/a>which is the perfect base for participants and spectators both as a great marina and as an entertainment venue.<\/p>\n

ANTIGUA SAILING WEEK<\/u><\/strong>
\nAntigua Sailing Week, considered one of the Caribbean’s most prestigious regattas,\u00a0is held annually at the end of April and the 54th edition will commence with the Round Antigua Race on\u00a0Saturday, April 29, 2022. Following that will be five days of competitive racing off the rugged south coast of Antigua, wrapping up on Friday, May 5, 2023.<\/p>\n
